The Length-Weight Relationship of Bitterling, Rhodeus amarus (Bloch, 1782) in Freshwaters of Turkey

This study was done to determine the length-weight relationship between bitterling and freshwater in Turkey. To this end, 2265 bitterling specimens from the Western Black Sea and Small Meander were examined. They belonged to the Sakarya. Susurluk. Marmara. Meric. Yesilirmak basins of the museum of Freshwater Fish Collection in Ege University Fisheries Faculty. The species were measured at different lengths, ranging from 1.60 to 8.30cm and weighing an average of 0.06 to 10.65g.
